I miss you...

A homeless dog in the city

One day morning, a black and skinny little dog came to my house.
He was too skinny and his legs were thin as my finger.
He seemed so lost and starved so I adopted him.
In the dark, because of his black body and eyes, I woudn't be able to see him if there was no white little dot on his chest. I called him Eggie.
Eggie had no voice.
When he barked, only helpless wind sound came out of his mouth.
Once he had voice. It must have been clear and happy sound.
Veterinary said his former owner gave him a surgery to mute his voice.
He even had a cosmetic surgery on his ears.
I've heard some people do that to keep their pet in the apartment but looking at Eggie, I was so sorry for what cruel human beings did.
Anyway, Eggie and I were happy for a while.
We were always together. I loved him so much.
I wanted to compensate him for his bad memories.
One day, he was sleeping. I tried to pat his adorable back.
Because of my sudden touch, he was astonished and bite my hand accidentally.
Then, he ran away.
I don't know why he ran away. I wasn't mad at him.
I saw a miniature pinscher in the park but it wasn't skinny as Eggie.
Still, there is a scar remained on my left hand.
I miss him.
